Our Story

Hi! I’m Emily, the founder of and one-woman team behind Peaces Of Mine. I’m based in Godalming in Surrey, living with my partner, our baby daughter and our two indoor bunnies.

I started Peaces Of Mine in June 2020 during the first national lockdown of the Covid pandemic. At that time the importance of slowing down and taking care of our wellbeing became more apparent than ever before. It felt like our fast-paced world came to a pause and we were able to reflect on what truly matters - one of the silver linings of that terribly difficult time.

After my partner and I had to return home early from travelling Southeast Asia due to Covid, and having known for a while that I wanted to start my own business and do something creative, lockdown provided the space, opportunity and inspiration I needed. I decided to begin sharing my love of beautiful, Earth-friendly products that inspire peaceful moments.

I’m passionate about the power of taking intentional time to find some calm each day, and how the right products can help us do this. I want to help you carve out more time for yourself in your busy days and create beautiful, yet simple, practices and routines to support your overall wellbeing. Many of us struggle to make time for it, but self-care is an essential, not a luxury, and I hope Peaces Of Mine can help you make it a priority each day.

It’s important to me that our products are gentle on the environment too. I believe being kind to ourselves and our planet come hand in hand and I’m conscious of helping to look after and protect our planet both as a business and an individual.

I’m also passionate about supporting small businesses, partly due to the incredible amount of love and thought that goes into the products they create. When you shop small you’re helping to turn a dream into reality, supporting an individual, family or small team of people and boosting local economies. That’s why all of our products are carefully sourced from amazing small businesses all around the UK who share our love for self-care and our planet and who we’re proud to partner with.

Our carefully curated collection of gift boxes and goodies are perfect to treat yourself or gift to a loved one. I’d love for everybody to experience the wonderful benefits of simple products that can truly support wellbeing, are a joy to use and help us reconnect with the present moment in a beautiful way.

Our Mission & Values

Our mission is to help you slow down and find a little peace in our busy world through beautiful but simple practices.

We take great pleasure in working closely with lots of amazing small businesses across the UK who align with our values, are conscious of their impact on our planet and do what they do with a great deal of love.

We care a lot about caring: for ourselves, others, our planet and the animals we share it with. This is why all of our products are vegan, cruelty-free and eco-friendly, mainly plastic-free with fully recyclable or biodegradable packaging. We love making your gift boxes look gorgeous while doing our bit for the environment and we’re proud to say that our gift boxes are packaged with plastic-free and fully recyclable or biodegradable materials. We also reuse most of the packaging we receive from our suppliers and encourage you to reuse as much of what you receive from us as possible. As an eco-conscious business we will continue working to reduce our environmental footprint while helping you to reduce yours.
